F.W. Cannon was a student at Clemson from 1927-1932. In 1931 he received a B.S. in Agronomy and in 1932 he received a B.S. in Agricultural Education. While at Clemson he was actively involved in student life particularly in athletics. He was on the boxing, cross country and track team and a member of the Palmetto Literary Society. The Department of Military Science was established at the University of Oregon in 1919.
